Best Performance Car Deals for May 2026

Sports cars, performance sedans, and hot hatches with actual manufacturer incentives for May 2026 — and which ones have zero deals and why.

Deal valid through May 31, 2026.

Performance cars are a mixed bag for incentives. The segment divides clearly: mainstream performance (Mustang, Camaro, Civic Type R, Golf GTI) often carries real dealer cash and lease support; German performance sedans have subsidy-driven lease programs; pure sports cars (Corvette, Supra, 718) rarely see incentives because demand exceeds supply. Here's the full picture for May 2026.

Programs run through May 31, 2026 unless noted.

American muscle and sports cars

Ford Mustang

Ford's Employee Pricing For All program carries into May and covers the Mustang.

TrimDealNotes
Mustang EcoBoost Fastback$389/mo lease, $3,299 dueBest mainstream sports car lease in May
Mustang GT class="relative z-10",500 cash + 2.99% APR / 60 mo
Mustang Dark Horse class="relative z-10",000 cashLimited production; MSRP in most markets
Mustang Mach-E GT0% APR / 48 moEV performance deal

The EcoBoost lease at $389/month is genuinely compelling for what is otherwise a $34,000 car with 310 hp and rear-wheel drive. The GT's class="relative z-10",500 cash is less exciting but real.

Chevrolet Camaro

The Camaro's production ends after the 2024 model year, but 2024 new old stock (NOS) remains at many Chevy dealers and carries significant incentives as GM clears it out.

Trim / YearDealNotes
2024 Camaro LT1 (NOS)$4,500 cash6.2L V8; significant clearance pricing
2024 Camaro SS (NOS)$3,500 cash + 0% APR / 48 mo
2024 Camaro ZL1 (NOS)$2,000 cashHigh-demand trim; less inventory

If you want a Camaro, May 2026 with 2024 NOS clearance is among the last opportunities to buy one new. The 2024 SS at 0% APR and $3,500 cash is historically strong for a V8 muscle car.

Dodge Challenger / Charger (Last Call NOS)

Similar situation to the Camaro — Dodge ended the gas Challenger and Charger after 2023's Last Call editions. Final NOS units exist at some dealers.

TrimDealNotes
2023 Challenger R/T Scat Pack (NOS)Dealer-priced; $3,000–$6,000 below original MSRP typicalShrinking inventory nationally
Charger Daytona EV (2026)1.9% APR / 48 moNew Charger nameplate, EV platform

Hot hatches and sport compacts

Honda Civic Type R

TrimDealNotes
Civic Type R class="relative z-10",000 conquest cash (non-Honda trade-in)Demand remains strong; no broad cash
Civic Si class="relative z-10",500 cash + 2.49% APR / 60 moBetter deal than the Type R this month

The Si's deal is more attractive in May — class="relative z-10",500 cash and subsidized APR on a $31,500 car that's genuinely entertaining to drive. The Type R at $45,000+ sees minimal manufacturer support because Honda doesn't need to incentivize it.

Volkswagen Golf GTI / Golf R

TrimDealNotes
Golf GTI S$329/mo lease, $3,299 dueBest hot hatch lease value in May
Golf GTI SE$359/mo lease, $3,499 due
Golf R$469/mo lease, $3,999 dueAWD hot hatch at a competitive monthly

VW's GTI lease is the performance segment's stealth deal. $329/month for a 241-hp front-wheel-drive hot hatch with DSG transmission is exceptional value. The money factor is at buy-rate (0.00092) and the residual is strong at 56%.

Hyundai Elantra N / Veloster N

TrimDealNotes
Elantra N class="relative z-10",000 cash + 2.9% APR / 60 mo276 hp for $34,000; strong value
Elantra N DCT$369/mo lease, $3,299 due

The Elantra N DCT lease is another under-the-radar deal in May. 276 hp, an 8-speed dual-clutch, and track-mode electronics at $369/month compete directly with the GTI at $329 — the Hyundai has more power, the VW has the better interior.

Performance sedans and sports EVs

BMW M3 / M4

ModelDealNotes
M3 Competition xDrive class="relative z-10",249/mo lease, $5,499 dueMoney factor at buy-rate
M4 Competition Coupe class="relative z-10",199/mo lease, $5,499 due
M4 CSNo manufacturer supportMSRP or above

BMW's M Division cars carry strong residuals that make lease payments competitive for the segment. The M4 Coupe at class="relative z-10",199/month is at a lower effective monthly than equivalently priced AMG C63 or RS5 alternatives.

Mercedes-AMG C43 / C63

ModelDealNotes
AMG C43$879/mo lease, $4,999 due
AMG C63 S E Performance class="relative z-10",389/mo lease, $5,999 duePlug-in hybrid V8; strong residual

Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing

Cadillac's 668-hp manual-transmission super sedan is a special case — allocated, enthusiast-owned, and routinely at MSRP without incentives. May is no exception.

TrimDealNotes
CT5-V BlackwingNo incentivesExpect MSRP; allocation limited
CT5-V (standard)$729/mo lease, $4,999 dueMore available; legitimate May program

What has no deals (and why)

Some performance cars see zero manufacturer incentives because demand outpaces supply at MSRP:

  • Corvette Stingray / Z06: GM has no need to subsidize; orders routinely exceed allocation
  • Toyota Supra: limited production; no cash, no lease support
  • Porsche 718 Cayman / Boxster: Porsche doesn't run manufacturer lease programs in the US in the traditional sense
  • BMW M2: allocated; market adjustment common above MSRP at many dealers

For these vehicles, the strategy is dealer order at MSRP (not stock markup) and patience.

How to approach a performance car deal

The performance segment's financing math often favors leasing over buying because depreciation on sports cars can be severe (especially at high mileage). The GTI, Elantra N, and Mustang EcoBoost particularly benefit from a 36-month lease cycle — you hand back the car before the value drops steeply, and you're in new-model-year equipment at each cycle.

For performance buyers purchasing outright, Memorial Day APR programs (Ford, Honda, Chevrolet NOS) are the main financial lever.

Deal details change frequently. Always confirm terms with the dealer before purchase.
