May is one of my favorite months to point financing-minded buyers at. Memorial Day weekend is the spring's flagship sales event, and most manufacturers stack bonus cash or subsidized APR on top of regular programs through month-end. Below are the strongest APR programs on new vehicles I'm seeing right now. All are for well-qualified buyers (typically 720+ credit); rates for lower scores will be higher. Programs expire May 31 unless noted.

How to use these numbers

A 0% deal beats cash back most of the time — but not always, and not for everyone. If your credit is below 700, you may not qualify for the captive lender's 0%, in which case compare the dealer rate to a bank or credit-union pre-approval before you walk in. My guide on how to finance a new car in 2026 walks through exactly that.

The Memorial Day window (May 23–26) is when dealers are most motivated. The programs themselves don't change, but the dealer's willingness to front additional discount does — that's the part you negotiate.

What's not on this list

Tariff-affected imports from Japan and Europe (Corolla Cross, BMW 3 Series, Audi A4) are seeing reduced manufacturer incentives this month, not increased ones. Automakers absorbed some of the April 3 tariff hit to protect transaction prices, which left less room for financing subsidies. If you're cross-shopping an import against a domestic build, the domestic's financing program will look significantly better right now — something I'd weigh heavily in May.

Deal details change frequently. Always confirm terms with the dealer before purchase.
